Nayana Kumari speaks about a "politician"

Replying a question posed by a weekend article recently, tele-actress Nayana Kumari has given a queer answer. It is as follows: 

* Sometime back didn't Nayana Kumari's name come out in parliament?
  I don't know about that .... more than I isn't it you'll who know such things no ....


* What's the connection Nayana has with that politician?
  Aney no .... There's nothing of that sort. There's friendship. In the Field of Arts anybody from the President onwards there's friendships upto the beggar on the street.

On a joke aimed at Minister Welgama by parliamentarian Ajith P. Perera of the UNP last July 8th in parliament, this is how Nayana's name cropped up: "Now a few days ago at a moment when a train was derailed .... I came and looked .. whether it was the Nayana Kumari train which came from Galle towards Colombo. But then I understood that it was not Nayana Kumari which had got derailed.

Minister Welgama who responded apparently with anger said, "When I go in the Nayana Kumari train .... you don't get jealous about it. You too find a Kumari".
