Gammanpilla's 50,000 votes challenge against Harin

How Udaya Gammanpilla said he would resign from Minister post ....if Harin would take more than 50,000 votes

Mr. Udaya Gammanpilla, Minister of Trade who joined in the Political programme over Rupavahini with Harin Fernando of the UNP prior to Uva Provincial Council elections had said that Harin will not be able to get even 50,000 votes from Uva and that if Harin is able to secure more than 50,000 votes by launching his Political campaign without displaying posters, he would resign from his position as Minister of Trade.



On that occasion Harin Fernando had said that he would keep away from poster propaganda and that he would accept the challenge. However, he was able to clinch over 1 lakh 73,000 votes at the last Uva Provincial elections.

There still is no response by Mr. Udaya Gammanpilla, Provincial Council Minister in relation to this challenge.
