"We did not fight" -- Dayasiri

We didn't fight .... what happened was only an exchange of words

At a moment when an undiscernible video was available as evidence of a display of fisticuffs between m.p. Harin Fernando and Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera took place during the Derana Wadapitiya programme recently, what Dayasiri now says is that no fisticuffs took place between he and Harin.


Though the brawl occured under circumstances of sudden provocation on that occasion, he now responds as if nothing transpired in the form of a conflict .... considering his own, of the Party and that of respect.

"I am not a person who engages in fisticuffs. There's no such big incident. I of course didn't bite Hiran Fernando manthrithuma. Someone else may have bitten him. I didn't even hit him .... neither did I bite him. I have no problem. The person who's supposed to have hit me hasn't even gone to parliament the following day. The public will understand finally what happened".
