Male doctor sets up cameras ....
to see female doctors using the toilets
Two cameras not easily detectable to the eye have been cleverly installed in the main office toilet and the toilet of the restaurant meant only for lady doctors at the Anuradhapura hospital and this has been found out by the workers there.
When checking out by tracing the wires as to where then ended up, the culprit was none other than a doctor of the hospital itself. Though workers have complained about this to the hospital Director at the Anuradhapura Hospital no action has been taken over this issue and it is further reported that the rest of the doctors at the Anuradhapura Hospital are engaged in covering up the story. What the workers complain of is that if by any chance a member of the staff was involved in such an act, the hospital administration would have taken drastic steps against the incident.
It was reported that the abnormal behaviour of this doctor who had fixed these CCTV cameras in the two main toilets have been reported on an earlier occasion too and that he was subjected to suspicion years back even prior to this for having installed cameras in toilets.
While it was reported that the said doctor had fixed these cameras for the purpose of viewing scenes of a number of members of the clerical staff of the main office of the hospital who used the toilet, the workers point out that nobody has access to the restaurant meant for the lady doctors and that those cameras should definitely been fixed by a doctor himself. It was also learnt that as a result a large number of lady doctors have been inconvenienced.
On inquiring about this over the phone from Dr. W. Atapattu, Director of the Anuradhapura Training Hospital, he responded by saying that by that time the incident had been notified to the Secretary of the Ministry of Health by letter. As such, he further said that in future, legal measures would be taken against the doctor and that he has no reason to be safeguarding anyone who works against the law. The Director finally remarked that he had complained about this to the Anuradhapura police headquarters.
On inquiries made, it was possible to confirm that the two cameras installed most cleverly in the hospital have been taken into custody by the Anuradhapura Police Headquarters Crime Unit.
