FUN TIMES AT DIYATALAWA WORK SHOP

Malini and Reginold makes a ‘couple dance’ together at the Diyatalawa Ministers and Parliamentarians workshop

Many fun events were held at the Diyatalawa workshop held for the Ministers of the government which was named as “Ape Gamana” has been reported.
There have been two ‘Peduru’ parties held during this workshop and one had been held at where they have resided and the other one had been in a  at the Fox Hill, close to where they resided.
Karuna, Wimal Weerawanse, Reginold Cooray, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Lakshman Seneviratne, Aswer and Sudarshani Fernadopulle have been the best singers at the event. It is reported that Karuna had sung Sinhala and Tamil songs very well as like he was a veteran and Wimal Weerawanse had sung a lot of songs of Karunaratne Divulgane and Kapuge.
When Wimal Weeransa had continued singing without a break, Minister Aluthgamage had made a comment saying that “This fellow doesn’t stop the identical manner, when he starts talking and it is the same when he starts singing also….”
Minister Azwer had sung “Why this koleveri Di” song perfectly.
In between, while Sudarshani Fernandopulle was singing “Chandrame Re Paya Awa,”Reginold Cooray had accompanied Malini Fonseka for a ‘couple dance’ making everyone feel elated.
Among the dancers were Namal, Neomal, Dilan, Nirupama, Pavithra Karaliyadde, Nirmala and Rohitha. Pandu Bandaranayake had made the audience to laugh by dancing with a glass on his head without letting it to fall.
The music had been well supplied by the Army bands.
It was reported that the President had played Foot- ball on the second day and Ruwan Ranatunga and Janaka WakKumbura had got injured after falling on the grounds.
At the end of the workshop, a cricket match had been organized between an Army team and the Ministers X1’s. Army X1 had scored 96 runs and the Ministers X1 had scored 99 runs and the Ministers X1 had become the winners..
While they were playing Wimal Weerawanse had told an army soldier.’Mallie’ who had tried to catch the ball that was lofted high by Thilanga to let it go so that by next morning he will be appointed as a Major General.
