A novice singer arrested for purchasing drugs at Maharagama

A novice singer hailing from a singing family was arrested by the Police after having purchased the drugs from a ‘heroine’ drugs dealer running a drug business in Parakum Mawatha Maharagama.
When returning after purchasing drugs from the dealer he had been nabbed by the Police and arrested. Who is this singer? He is the son of a famous singer who is now deceased.
According to reports the singer’s name is Sohan Perera. He had been to be the son of a popular singer who is now deceased. He is also the brother of another popular singer Amal Perera. By singing his late father’s popular songs the accused too has come to fame. It is reliably learnt that he had been addicted to drugs for quite a long time.
The drug dealer in Parakum Mawatha is supposed to be a woman. She had fled away on hearing of his arrest. Further investigations are proceeding.
