It is a Tamil Alliance representative who was infected with corona ... when coming from England

It is revealed that a stalwart of the Tamil diaspora who has been sent by Britain for election work of Tamil Alliance in the East to has suffered from covid-19 virus, it is revealed. This was exposed at Batticaloa hospital day before yesterday (17) afternoon. As such, health authorities have taken steps to request Tamil Alliance MPs as well as a former district secretary and supporters to go through a process of self-quarantine by being in their
own homes. 

This sixty one year old diaspora representative named K. Rajadurai has arrived from Britain last Friday (13) and is a person born here and has secured British citizenship. He has in fact come here from Britain for Batticaloa former district secretary Udaya Kumar's election battle nominated by the Tamil Alliance from Batticaloa district for the forthcoming general election. It has been revealed that he was linked to election campaign activities during the recent past. It was also revealed that it was with the leadership of groups who protested against opening quarantine centres in the East and engaged in the Batticaloa Hartal campaign and even launched protests in front of Batticaloa hospital. 

This diaspora representative even when arriving in this country from Britain may have carried the covid - 19 virus, health authorities suspect. Outside quarantine centres this person happens to be the first individual detected from the Eastern province, it is understood. After it was revealed at Batticaloa hospital that he was infected this patient was transferred to Colombo IDH day before yesterday (18) night. An operation for quarantine procedures searching for residents at No. 13, Wannias Road, Batticaloa where he lived as well as Tamil Alliance MPs and supporters was commenced yesterday (18).
