"Being the most trusted of prime minister Mahinda, I was taken to India" -- Prasanna Ranaweera

Member of parliament, Prasanna Ranaweera who was subjected to disrepute because of aggressive behaviour was made to join in prime minister's Indian tour with humorous matters being exchanged within the social media. Mp Prasanna Ranaweera has taken steps to respond to these by
addressing a radio channel.

During that address Mp Prasanna Ranaweera has informed that he was invited for that tour for the
reason that he was one of the most trusted persons of prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and that he was so taken on the tour to motivate Indian prime minister Modi to grant a housing project and that after the discussion with him, premier Modi consented to it.

He further says, "Rising from the bottom level and when practical people take us to the top .. we are attacked. But then persons dressed in tie and coat are taken ... then it is okay. Doesn't matter .. no problem .. that's the way people see us, no. I witnessed a special welcome afforded to prime minister never seen below .. in every province in India. We brought forward a proposal to him. That is to provide a housing system to Kelaniya which is a populated area. He consented to it. I and the two Mps were taken and apart from that only the most necessary persons were taken on this tour. I came into this delegation because I represent Kelaniya which in fact is very clearly a city that is congested and is close to Colombo. On the occasion that prime minister came to Kiribathgoda and in the very first rally he said that a housing project would be introduced to Kelaniya. I must very clearly state that it was for a discussion in relation to that subject that I was taken to India. Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa took only a selected crowd of faithful persons only. He has great faith on me.
