Pujith takes legal action ... against President!

Inspector general of police, Mr. Pujith Jayasundera who has been sent on compulsory leave has decided to take fundamental rights legal action against the decision of President, it is reported. In this connection Mr. Pujith Jayasundera is involved in obtaining relevant legal advice and is ready to file action at supreme courts, it is reported. 

Relevant news sources state that inspector general of police, Mr. Pujith Jayasundera who has been
sent on compulsory leave still remains at his official residence till such time he the verdict from supreme court, it is learned. The IGP has decided to file action this way against President's decision to send him on compulsory leave saying that it is because his fundamental rights would thus be violated. 

It is reported that Mr. Jayasundera hopes to mention in supreme court that action has been taken to dismiss the IGP without following any procedures of carrying out such action under the 19th amendment. In the same way, if at all someone has any problem to solve concerning duties carried out by him; Mr. Pujith Jayasundera is prepared to make a statement regarding same in presence of supreme court, it is understood. 

In the meantime, it is reported to 'Ada' newspaper that security allotted to IGP Mr. Pujith Jayasundera who has been sent on compulsory leave has been reduced. It is understood that security motorcades designated for him have been already removed. It is further reported that several police officers for his assistance too have been removed.
