2018 general certificate of education, ordinary level results have been released to internet. By browsing www.doenets.lk, results can be checked. 

Nilanka Disiwari Warushavithana of Colombo Visakha Vidyalaya has been successful in becoming first in the island at 2018 general certificate of education, ordinary level. Three schoolgirls have been able to achieve second position at the ordinary level examination this time. Garasingha Aarachchige
Sanvithi Hansadi of Colombo Visakha Vidyalaya, Prathapa Mudiyanselage Sanjani Dileka Kumari of Gampaha Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya and Kalu Aarachchige Kankanamge Mindi Rebecca of Matara Sujatha Vidyalaya are those three students. 

According to the ordinary level results, Gayathri Harshila Lihini Kaduaarachchi of Kegalla St. Joseph's Balika Vidyalaya has clinched 5th position in the island. Examinations department has mentioned that according to examinations results this time, 5 students have achieved 6th position in the island. The number of students who have acquired 'A' passes at the ordinary level examination this time in all 9 subjects total 9413 and the number of candidates who have sat for the ordinary level examination this time, total 56,641 lakhs.
