Indian #Me Too social media trend which involves names Arjuna and Malinga ... for acts of molestation!

While a trend reveling female harassment is dawning within the social media in India these days, comments are being exchanged across by one Me Too Movement drawing attention to vicious experiences females have undergone  in their lives. In this context, some following this trend have recorded genuine incidents while some others in order to gain popularity have created bogus incidents and have thus exchanged those as their own

experiences.

As such, a particular female recorded a post in her Facebook account saying that former Sri Lanka Cricket captain Arjuna Ranatunga had harassed her while yet another female has posted on Twitter account to the effect that outstanding player Lasith Malinga has molested her. While none of these comments can be proved or are comments where future legal action could be executed, it appears that those are launched with the motive of grabbing popularity. Whatever it is, since names of two distinguished players are reported in this case, some leading Indian media have reported these comments.

India Today newspaper has published news about a an air hostess reveling an instance through her Facebook post that Ranatunga had tried to molest her near a swimming pool some years before this. Whatever it is, the Indian media has taken steps about revealing the name of the lady. Indian singer Chinmayi Sripaada has by using her Twitter account alleged that Lasith Malinga during the course of the IPL tournament dragged her to a room and had tried to molest her and newspapers including India Times have published it, quoting her.

No inquiries were conducted to check on these reports as to their veracity so far. National Commission for Women which is active in India informs that they would look into this matter.
