India wins Asian Cup -- 2018!
The Indian team became champions in the Asia Cup finals in the cricket fixture played yesterday in Dubai.
India who won the toss decided to field and thus Bangladesh were all out after collecting 222 runs. India went into bat subsequently to take up the challenge. During the course of amassing the 222 runs, Linton Das of Bangladesh top-scored with an outstanding performance of 121 runs whichincluded 12 boundaries and 2 hits over the rope in his knock and it incidentally happened to be his first One Day century too which of course was opportune at a time like that. However the majority of Bangladesh batting line up collapsed half-way through and as a consequence they were unable to achieve a big target as such unfortunately.
The Indians who played their innings of course did not find the winning target of 223 an easy task either and there were instances when their hopes were dashed with wickets tumbling at somewhat regular intervals such as 35, 46, 83, 137 and 160. Whatever it is, the tailenders were able to sail through to a victory because of the batting of Rohit Sharma (48), Karthik (37) and Dhoni (36) which contributed to escalating their total. In this context, the partnership of Jadesha and Kumar of course is of importance. The scoreboard is as follows:
